NepaliTrekking.com is operated by Nepali Trekking, a family-run trekking company based in Solukhumbu, Nepal, with administrative correspondence handled from Kathmandu and the United States. Information we collect
When you submit an inquiry through our booking form or contact us by email, WhatsApp, or phone, we collect the personal details you choose to provide — typically your name, email address, country, phone or WhatsApp number, intended trek and dates, group size, and any notes about fitness, dietary needs, or special requirements. We also collect basic technical information through our website (pages visited, approximate location based on IP, device type) using Google Analytics 4 in order to understand how our journal and trek pages are used.
How we use it
We use your information only for the purposes you would expect: to respond to your inquiry, plan and operate your trek, arrange permits and accommodation, communicate logistics, send pre-trek packing and preparation notes, and follow up with you after the trek. We do not sell your information. We do not share it with third parties for marketing.
Sharing with partners
To deliver your trek, we share necessary booking details (such as your name, passport scan, and trek dates) with the licensed local guides, porters, and teahouses involved in your itinerary, and with Nepali government permit offices (TIMS, Sagarmatha National Park, ACAP, etc.) as required by law. If you book a trek operated by one of our partner agencies, your details will be shared with that agency to complete the booking.
Cookies and analytics
Our site uses Google Analytics 4 to measure visits and page performance. Analytics cookies are used to distinguish unique visitors and to aggregate trends. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the official Google opt-out browser add-on. We do not use cookies for advertising or remarketing.
How long we keep it
Booking and trek records are retained for as long as needed to operate your trek and comply with Nepali tax and tourism record-keeping obligations (typically seven years). Inquiry-only correspondence that does not result in a trek is deleted within twenty-four months. You can request earlier deletion at any time.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict our use of it. To exercise any of these rights, write to hello@nepalitrekking.com. We will respond within thirty days.

This policy may change as our service evolves. Material changes will be noted on this page with a revised date. Last updated: January 2025.
